Natasa + Boro
Ceremony: Serbian Orthodox Church of St Sava, Greensborough
Photos: Fitzroy Gardens, Melbourne
Reception: The Thornbury Theatre, Thornbury
On a late autumn day, I ventured into Natasa and Boro’s Serbian wedding and what an experience it was! Based on traditions, it was a 14-hour day complete with crowns and a traditional Serbian trubaci band (Balkan brass band).
It started off at Natasa’s parents house in Melbourne’s north east for the getting ready shots. My second shooter was over at Boro’s house capturing the boys getting ready, and after a few hours everybody joined us. The band arrived, the guests arrived, the boys arrived and the party began!
The bride Natasa is a fashion designer so she designed her own wedding dress, which was amazing! Her work is at: www.pitradesigns.com
After the party at the bride’s house with all the guests, the band and the bridal party; everyone headed off to the church for the beautiful traditional Serbian Orthodox ceremony.
After the ceremony, we all headed to Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne for quick couple and bridal party photographs, before heading over to The Thornbury Theatre for the reception. What a day! I loved shooting it, and Natasa and Boro were such an amazing, relaxed and joyful couple. It was an absolute pleasure to play a part in their day! x
